Hi,
State leaders killed the bill to stop the Big Utility Tax (https://tinyurl.com/whokilledutilitytax). This, despite the fact that the proposed $24/month Utility Tax will increase bills on four million households starting next year.
However, in politics, where there’s a will, there’s a way. Legislators are in session until August. They have many tools to revive legislation when they choose to do so.
We need to fight this Utility Tax all the way. It is uncapped, which means $24/month is just the start. Utilities have been clear they intend for it to rise to $70 or more.
Please call your legislators today and tell them to fix this mess before the legislative session ends in August.
