Call Gov. Newsom to ensure he puts a solar freedom champ on the CPUC
Background:
Any day now, we expect Gov. Newsom to appoint a new member to the CA Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). At a time of power outages, wildfires, and ever-increasing energy bills, we need a pro-solar leader at the CPUC.
Utilities are lobbying the CPUC to go in the opposite direction and make it harder and more expensive for people to make energy from the sun at their home or business.
Will you call Governor Newsom now and and tell him to appoint a leader to the CPUC who will stand up to utilities and help all Californians make and store energy from the sun?

Hi! My name is ____, and I’m a constituent living in _____. I am calling to ask Governor Newsom to appoint a solar freedom champion to the open position at the CA Public Utilities Commission.
The CPUC has not done a good job holding the utilities accountable. We need a leader who believes we need to get rooftop solar and battery storage into the hands of millions of Californians, so that everyone has tools to control their energy bills and keep the lights on when the power goes out.
