Stop LADWP’s proposed $900 solar fee
Dear LADWP General Manager & Commissioners, and LA Mayor Garcetti:
“I oppose LADWP’s proposed $900 to $4,500 solar fee. If approved, the fee will discourage my neighbors from choosing solar and battery storage.
LADWP’s proposed fee is based on outdated thinking and unnecessary staff time. SoCal Edison and PG&E only charge $75 and $145 respectively to connect a solar system to the grid.
We expect better from LADWP. Los Angeles has ambitious clean energy goals. To reach these goals, the city should be encouraging more people to make and store solar energy at home and at work. This proposal does the opposite.”
