Tell SMUD: Hire a General Manager who will make fighting climate change the top priority
Dear SMUD Board of Directors:
“I hope this finds you and yours safe and healthy. As you consider candidates for the next SMUD General Manager, please prioritize someone who will make it a top priority to fight climate change. This includes someone with a vision and plan for ending SMUD’s use of fossil fuels within the decade.
In addition, the next SMUD General Manager should empower the community to be a part of the climate solution. This means encouraging community members from all walks of life to make and store solar energy at home and at work.
The next SMUD General Manager should innovate and collaborate with the community. That means someone who can listen to and collaborate with the public, so that we can better confront the immense challenges ahead.”
