December 1st "Save Solar" Rally Instructions

Locations
San Diego: St. Stevens Church of God in Christ, 5825 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92114
Palm Springs / Cathedral City: SoCal Edison building, 36100 Cathedral Canyon Dr, Cathedral City, CA 92234. We will be in front of the Edison sign on Cathedral Canyon Drive, just a little south of of the intersection of Cathedral Canyon and Perez Road. See detailed map with parking suggestions.
Los Angeles: Plaza Olvera 125 Paseo De La Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90012 ******** We will meet at the NE corner of the plaza (see where the red pin is here). There are nearby paid parking lots here and here. .
Bakersfield: PG&E office: 1918 H St, Bakersfield, CA 93301
San Luis Obispo: PG&E office: 406 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.
Fresno: St. Paul Catholic Newman Center: 1572 East Barstow Avenue, Fresno, CA 93710. Event will be in the cafeteria on the extreme right side of the church building, where the church parking lot is. From East Barstow Ave, turn on Millbrook, and make an immediate right onto the frontage road (also called East Barstow). Turn left on 9th St, and then left into the church parking lot.
Stockton: Nena’s on B St. 2208 S B St, Stockton, CA 95206
Santa Cruz: Discretion Brewing, 2703 41st Ave Ste. A, Soquel, CA 95073
San Francisco: California Public Utilities Commission, 505 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94102 ******* We’ll be gathering on the steps at the SE Corner of the building at the intersection of McAllister and Van Ness Ave. If you are driving, we recommend parking at the Civic Center Garage at 355 McAllister Street. If you are BARTing, the closest stop is Civic Center.
Chico: Greentech Renewables: 1215 W 7th St, Chico, CA 95928
Time
All events start at 11am and will wrap up at 12 noon. Plan to arrive by 10:45am.
Make a sign!
If you can, we highly encourage you to make a home-made sign! Here are some slogan suggestions:
- No Solar Cliff!
- Don’t Cut Solar 75%!
- Keep Rooftop Solar Growing!
Some people have asked if they should wear the red shirts from previous rallies this year. You don’t need to do that since the message of the shirt is now outdated (which is a good thing).
